Sunday Soundtrack #4: DJ Shadow – Midnight in a Perfect World

Every now and then, you hear a song that’s eerily familiar, the kind that catapults you back to the past. For me, DJ Shadow’s Midnight in a Perfect World is exactly that sort of track. It reminds me of being about 19, driving the curves and bends of Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh (with windows down, stereo up) at both a crazy speed and even more ridiculous time of night.
There’s something about this tune that will stick with me for the rest of my life (a memory i hope is shared with someone also from my past) and it will forever cast me straight back to those naive nights where all too often i was in bed long after sunrise.
By far a worthy addition to my Sunday Soundtrack. Enjoy.
