Last week I had a groan about too many meetings. This week seems to have followed suit with meeting after meeting. Grr. Still, I made some good progress.
Working asynchronously. I have mixed feelings about this, particularly as it can cultivate silos. One positive way I’m embracing async is by canning meetings where a quick Slack chat can answer questions. Simple, yes, but it doesn’t hurt to have a reminder.
Assessing my time. I read about tracking your time for a couple of weeks in the book Do It Today. Ironically, I’m yet to do it. It’s a great way to build a case for budget to expand my team. So, today I’m doing a bit of planning for next week and I’ll start tracking on Monday. I’ll try it for a 2-week period, with a view to doing it for a month. Wish me luck.
Feeling tired. I’ve had that rotten cough and cold everyone’s had. I’ve made it back to boxing this week after a week off to get better. I’m glad to be back exercising, it makes me feel alive but today, I just felt knackered!
