Weeknotes 17 March 2023

Late, yes, but still worth publishing for reflection. Last week went like this:

Starting to reassess processes. It’s been roughly a year since we put our content process in place so I’ve stopped to get some feedback. I’ve met with stakeholders across the business to ask for their thoughts. I’ll also be sending a survey post-interviews and will then share proposals on how to optimise the process. I’m pleased to learn that others agree we need more hands. I’m also grateful that they’ve offered to help me build the business case.

Getting feedback on a Skills Matrix. I’ve put together a guide for levels from Associate to Director content. (It’s a bit blue-sky thinking we might ever have a Content Director where I am, but I’m an optimist). This is part of a wider discipline matrix for our team. It covers UX, UI, Research, and Content. And this week we shared it with our multi-disciplinary team for a Q and A.

Creating a (last-minute) presentation. Near nothing of a brief, a packed diary, and a non-flexible weekend do not maketh a greateth presentation. I know it’ll get done, but when?!
