Weeknotes 13 October, 2023

I’m keeping it brief this week. I’m short on time and about to fall in a heap. That said, it’s been a really good week and there have been lots of great developments at work. Here’s a snippet of what’s been going on.

Moving towards coaching. Last week I talked about changes in the way our team work. This includes me. I’m moving (officially) to a coaching function, which is exciting! I’ve been documenting ways I can help other disciplines. I’ve also reached out to others whom have already trodden my path for a spot of advice. I’m looking forward to chatting with Anna Söderbom next week.

Hitting my reading (and skipping) goals. I’m powering through Empowered by Marty Cagan and Chris Jones. And I’ve hit my £150 fundraising target for Cancer Research – I’m doing 100 skips a day to support them.

Reviewing our content tool stack. Ditto Words, Phrase, Figma, plus potentially Frontitude. There’s a lot going on here. I talked about the Single Source of Truth for copy in last week’s post too. My explorations continue.

2024 planning. Already, yup. After a couple of in-depth presentations I’ve got a really great view on our business plans.

Getting excited about Button being back! Next week: Button, The Content Design Conference, is back! I am so damn friggin’ excited. I’m also going to see MADONNA on Tuesday. MADONNA!
