Weeknotes 8 March, 2024

My main focus this week has been goal-setting. It’s taken a bit of time to get right, but it’s done.

I had put together a first draft of my goals and shared it with my manager. She gave me some great feedback, and so did her manager. Perhaps it was a language thing rather than the meaning but some of the feedback didn’t feel aligned. I want to feel crystal clear about what’s expected of me and my team. I took all the feedback onboard and then set a meeting with both managers to go through my updated goals.

I’ve since had that call and I’m pleased to say things are now aligned. I’ve a few tweaks to make, which I’m doing this afternoon. I feel confident on where to go, how to get there, and how I’ll measure success. Sometimes 3 heads are better than one.
