Weeknotes 19 April, 2023

It’s been a slow week for me. I’ve not been feeling well so I’ve tried to rest and get through the easier tasks on my list.

More copy testing and analysis. I’ve run a terminology copy test with accountants and bookkeepers. I’ve now launched the same test with business owners. I got the results for the first test quickly. I’m waiting on a couple of participants for the second one before I can write up and share the results.

Doing compliance training. One of the many good things about working for yourself is you don’t have to do this tedious stuff. I’m not working for myself right now so I’ve been chipping away at this. I know it’s important, but it’s not rocking my world.

Fleshing out the content wiki. Last week I finished the IA so this week I’ve been working on the content. I’ll be working on this for the few weeks.

Fixing content snags. Things like improving the tone of error messages. Goodbye, finger-pointy negativity, hello positive, action-focused copy.
