This week has been a week of 2 main focuses: terminology and adding to a content wiki. The latter is quite a task, so I’ve batched the work up and will be working on this for the next few weeks. Here’s a summary of how this week has rolled…
Sharing terminology results. It’s one thing to test copy, another to communicate the results, and yet another to action any changes. I underestimated the time (and admin) this can take. I’m somewhere in the middle of these steps for changing a feature name.
Terminology sense checks with senior leadership. This is for our company’s big initiative. There are countless stakeholders, so heaps of discussion on what to call things. It’s been challenging to keep on top of this.
To help, my team put together a list terms we were unsure if there had been conversations about. We then went through this line by line. Simple, but effective. And it meant we didn’t overwrite something there’d been a previous decision on.
Writing email copy, and reviewing content with designers. Nuff said. This is business as usual for me.
Continuing to work on the content wiki.
Spending most of the week under blankets. Because it’s been bloody cold!
