Weeknotes 19 July, 2024

I have a short day today and as the sun is here, I’m planning to head to the beach. Catch it while you can. Before then, I’ve a packed morning so here’s a quick update on how this week has gone.

Proofed an article. The article I mentioned last week. It’s for the awesome UX Content Collective. If you want to read it, you can.

Finalising feature lists and plan page. This was a great exercise in demonstrating how hard it can be to write very short copy – our PM gets that. (Win!). With tons of features in our plans, it’s tricky to keep the value communicated in short, scannable copy. Pair writing this with the PM was essential as her product knowledge is incomparable. The page is now done. Let’s see how it measures.

Reviewing new journeys for mobile. Small tweaks to language. Nice and easy.

Sharing copy testing results. This is for the test I mentioned last week. Like a lot of things I’ve tested lately, it’s for a particular term. After sharing the results, internal feedback suggested a need to do more testing. This will delay positive change and may not add extra value, so we’re going ahead with term from the testing.

Proofing a major release. It’s been a bit of a week for proofing. The no.1 project in the business is here so I’ve been catching any snags before they content goes live.
