Weeknotes 22 November, 2024

Last week I had Friday off so I skipped my Weeknotes. Sue me.

I’d say this week has been busy but it’s more that it’s been productive. As the days pass, I sometimes wonder if I’m getting through enough. Writing a weekly update for leadership gives me the answer. I’ve got through a tonne over the last 7 days! It looks a bit like this:

Optimising content. This was the next step after doing an audit. We’re rolling our products into one and I’d audited this content.

Writing a presentation. For BBC content team. I’m doing a short guest talk with them next week.

Reviewing email content and revamping them to be more on brand. I used ChatGPT and prompts woven with our brand guidelines to shift the copy into our voice and tone.

Updated our prompt library. With the prompts I wrote for the email content. I save these and share them with the rest of the team to help them with their content.

Contributed to the delivery teams WOW retro. I’ll facilitate the next one in Q1.

Submitted an idea for Hackathon. I wasn’t sure if anyone would pick this up and want to do it. They have. Woo! Now to bring the idea to life next week…

Working on a behavioural science resource for the same Hackathon.

Working on some UX Writing training with my team. We’ll run the training in the next sprint and ask attendees for feedback. With a bit of expected tweaking, we’ll repeat the same training with another group – PMs are next.
