Weeknotes 20 December, 2024

Woo, Christmas is almost here. It’s been noticeably quieter on Slack (I’m loving it) so I’ve had decent focus time this week. Here are some of the things I’ve crossed off my to-dos.

Tying up loose ends. With a designer to make sure we’ve wrapped up certain projects. Also, adding copy testing results to our repository so they don’t get lost in the depths of Slack. And also tying up a content audit; making sure the right people know about copy updates to get them done.

Setting up a big project for 2025. A very admin-y task of breaking down our Content Design wiki into 4 quarters and putting int

Writing practical examples for our voice and tone document. And rather than dos and dont’s we’re using “too little”, “just right”, “too much” à la Goldilocks. It’s a good way to illustrate for others what to avoid and what to try.

Creating a quick tip guide for our voice. I’ll be running some training in the new year. So, while I put that together I’ve shared some interim guidelines our company can put to work today.
