Hello Friday, you lovely sunny thing. I hope it’s warm where you are too. Here’s a quick run down of how this week has unfolded.
Creating a RACI. Between new babies and new starters our business has gone through quite a bit of change on the staff front. Some handovers were light (or didn’t exist). This meant some projects skipped the usual content process. Also, too many stakeholders became involved while people figured out how things worked. This caused 2 things. One: confusion. Two: it slowed delivery. To help, I defined some of the projects we work on. I then mapped out who’s responsible, accountable, consulted, or informed. I opened the RACI up to the teams involved for feedback. I was a bit tentative about creating a RACI. I didn’t want to get into politics. But, processes and ownership weren’t clear, so it felt a good way to make them clear. Turns out that others are also feeling that processes aren’t clear and the RACI was a welcome move.
Reviewing settings screens. There was lots of jargon in these screens. The rest of the product has a lot too and in doing user testing to work on changing this.
Giving feedback and getting to see what Ditto Words are building. They’re going to Config next week and have some big announcements. This Wednesday I got a preview of what’s coming and it’s GOOD. It think there are 3 main changes, which to the end user feel small-ish, but they’re going to be massive in how I use Ditto. I’m sure the changes have been anything but small for the DW team to build. Nice work, Ditto
