Weeknotes 5 September, 2025

Woo, here we are again. Here’s a snippet of what’s gone down this week.

Prepping for my growth check in. I log everything I work on and capture wins as well as opportunities. I find it easier to do self-reviews this way as I’ve got something to jog my memory. I’d got a bit lazy with the format of my log so have tweaked that too. It now matches the format in which we submit our growth check ins. This means it’s a matter of copying and pasting content. Preparing like this takes time, but it’s worth it as it highlights thangs you’ve done you forgot all about.

Fixing a shipped project. Rushing something can do more harm than good, which we’re hoping this project doesn’t. It may has well have had flashing danger lights on it and sound effects screaming WARNING! Inducing panic, any anyone, let alone our users is far from good. Three of us spent an hour-ish fixing this yesterday.

Observing user testing. Or early access, should I say. We’ve onboarded a couple of people to try our our payments feature. It’s a huge milestone. So much work has gone in to getting us to this point, and there’s a bit to do yet too.
