I’ve now tried the 3 reflection frameworks I mentioned. I didn’t love the last one as I found it the hardest to write. The one focusing on ‘what I noticed, what I learned, and what’s next‘ was my favourite – it’s simple and I’m all for that. That’s why this edition of Weeknotes returns to that very template and in a lovely petite version. Bon weekend.
✍️ Mini reflection
What I noticed:
A designer,, an engineer and I collaborated for an afternoon to ready our content for a Beta release. A lot of the copy on the product needed updating. In a pinch over 2 hours we improved the whole experience. It was clearer, more logical, and easier to understand for the user.
What I learned:
That my engineer colleague has a beautiful British Shorthair cat (I forget its name). Take the furry friend as metaphor; I got to know my colleague beyond coding. Our pets made appearances, as did anecdotal notes about our lives. It made what could be a long process enjoyable nand fun – not just productive.
What’s next:
I didn’t get to the mobile screens but I will next week, and that’s okay.
