Weeknotes 6 February, 2026

From one pivotal week to another pivotal week. I know I’ve mentioned here before that an inner wrestle tends to happen during – and before – growth. This week felt different. Less tussle, more recognition that the learning I’m doing is landing and having a positive impact. My boss said, “I can see the work you’re doing.”

Transformation, metamorphosis, evolution — whatever you want to call it, it’s working. I can feel (and see) a different, better-for-it version of me emerging.

A lot of this week was about clarity. I spent time understanding and documenting the mobile delivery process, mapping it out in a way that makes the invisible visible. It’s the kind of work that doesn’t shout, but it does quietly remove friction. Fewer assumptions, fewer handovers lost in translation, fewer single points of failure.

I also facilitated an error message workshop with design, research, and support. These sessions always remind me how powerful shared ownership can be. Error messages sit at a sensitive intersection of trust, frustration, and expectation. Bringing multiple perspectives into the room helped ground the work in real user pain rather than abstract best practice.

Another meaningful step was starting what will become a bi-weekly metrics session. Creating a regular space to look at signals together – rather than treating metrics as a post-hoc validation exercise – feels like a small but important move. One towards more intentional, evidence-informed content decisions.

Alongside that, Content Design Office Hours were particularly busy this week. There was a lot of context-switching. AI agent work, platform content reviews, and quick questions in need of thoughtful answers. Yet, it was encouraging to see how much trust people are placing in content as a discipline. Especially in newer and more ambiguous spaces.

Looking ahead, I’ll be following up on the AI agent work with a focused copy review session. And continuing the platform reviews. The goal remains the same: make things clearer, safer, and easier – for users, for teams, and for the people who come next.

A full week. A steady week. And one that made the progress feel real.
