Slumpity slump slump is how my week started. Some family stuff got to me for a bit so I opted to feel the feels and show kindness towards myself. We can’t always be our most productive and I know myself well enough to know I’ll more than make up for it.
The reboot begins. See? I knew normal service would resume of its own accord. I started to feel lighter and more my pragmatic, optimistic self.
I got on with writing an article on creating a Single Source of Truth for copy. It’s for UX Content Collective as I mentioned in my last post. I’m pleased it came together well and curious to know how it’ll go down.
Design challenge round #2. A few weeks ago we had a 3-day design challenge. This time, it was 1 day. My role was more of a supporting one so I fielded questions and shared content for the teams edit and reuse. Shout out to everyone bossing it. Delivering solutions to hard problems in just a few hours is no mean feat.
Music therapy. I’m ending the week with Mutations Festival. The Staves played last night. Live, their voices sound just as they do recorded – beautiful. I was also in awe of Prima Queen’s skills on the violin, guitar, and nonchalant tambourine dropping – too cool. I’m looking forward to Flamingods, and Antony Szmierek tonight. And also to 2 more days of chilling with friends and soaking up the sounds. Have a good weekend.
