“A copper. How do ya like that, boys? A copper.”
In a bid to keep the weight off after being ill, and of course, to keep fit, one of the things I’ve found myself partaking in lately is a ‘lunchtime’ run.
It enforces me out of the office, to step away from the computer screen for at least half an hour twice weekly – which can’t be a bad thing either.
On my first venture last Friday, my shuffle threw Madonna’s ‘White Heat’ at me. Boy, it’s a loooooooong time since I’ve heard that…I’d forgotten just how darn good it is. It also happens to be pretty motivational for running too, perhaps thanks to Madonna barking the orders “Get up! Stand tall, put your back up against the wall… this is a bust!”
Memory lane and motivation? I’ll take that, thanks.
