Little Black Book: Workshop Brighton
I’ve walked (and jogged) past this store so many times, though until today I haven’t had the chance to stop in for a look. So glad I did.
It’s like London’s Labour and Wait and Brighton’s Utility only even more minimal – think chicer all-white interpretations of the traditional indigo-edged pie dish, oversized beech chopping boards, natural linen aprons and rustic zinc plant pots.
And as soon as I saw they stocked Cereal magazine and Kinfolk I knew I’d be right at home. The highlight of the visit was discovering another magazine to add to my reading list; Ernest, a bi-annual “gentlefolk’s” journal.
To celebrate discovering this brilliant shop, I’m adding Workshop as the first of my Little Black Book posts where I’ll share great places you won’t want to miss. I couldn’t think of a better shop to start with.
